Hailing from Newbridge, Co Kildare, Hot Soul Psychos “don’t play the music you want to hear — we play the music you need to hear,” says singer/guitarist Dan O’Shaughnessy, whose accomplices are Domhnall Hurley – Drums, and Ciaran Goulding – Bass.

Known as Moonlight Red up to May of last year, the band’s influences include CCR, Aerosmith, The Heavy, Fun Lovin Criminals, Kings of Leon, Moonlight Red, The Minutes, The Hives, Kopek, and The Doors, among others. In other words, real rock ’n’ roll, balls-to-the-wall music, merged with funk, country, blues, and no shortage of s-o-u-l.
